Rules
- You must be 18 or older to enter the contest to qualify. You will need to fill out the online entry form with your full contact details. All songs are entered online in either WAV or MP3 files. There is a PayPal charge of US $35.00 per record submitted. US $20.00 for students with valid student I.D.
- Each submitted record must be your original production.
- Contestants may enter as many songs/records in as many styles as desired but each entry requires a separate WAV or MP3 file and entry form. Entry fee is nonrefundable. Mark Clayton Songs is not responsible for late, lost or damaged,
misdirected, misappropriated entries. - This competition is open to all amateur and professional producers/musicians and anyone regardless of nationality or origin.
- Winners will be chosen by a Judging Committee comprised of music industry professionals. Records are judged equally on originality, creativity, style, instrumentation, arrangement, vocals, production techniques, quality of overall sound. All records submitted remain the sole property of Mark Clayton Songs including all rights of the record.
- To enter a record, the contestant must choose any song from the Mark Clayton Songs Catalog and produce an original record of the song. Only songs from Mark Clayton Songs Catalog qualify to enter this contest. Original songs do not qualify for this contest.
- Winners will be determined by October 31st, 2025. After which each entrant will receive a winners list by e-mail.
8. Mark Clayton Songs reserve the right to extend the deadline of the competition if needed. - Prizes: Overall Grand Prize winner will receive US $1,000 worth of cash and 75% of gross streaming revenues. Overall 2nd Prize winner will receive US $750 worth of cash and 50% of gross streaming revenues, Overall 3rd Prize winner will
receive US $500 worth of cash and 25% of gross streaming revenues. Taxes are winners’ responsibility. - Mark Clayton Songs retains all rights with the song itself along with the publishing. The streaming revenues offered above only remain with the record released, not the original song itself. All copyrights and ownership of the song remain with Mark Clayton Songs.
- All participants will receive quarterly statements from Tunecore, through Mark Clayton Songs, showing any streaming revenues from their record. All payments
will be paid through Paypal. - All records must be released through Mark Clayton Songs and Tunecore account to qualify for payment of any revenues. No streaming revenues will be paid if any record is released under another record label or digital music distributor. Mark Clayton Songs retain all ownership of the song.
- Mark Clayton Songs retains 100% publishing revenue of the record if released under any record label other than Mark Clayton Songs.
