2025 Record Contest

Rules
- You must be 18 or older to enter the contest to qualify. You will need to fill out the- online entry form with your full contact details. All records must be entered online as mastered MP3 files. There is a PayPal charge of US $30.00 per record submitted. Mark Clayton Songs retains all ownership of the song and record.
- Each submitted record must be your original production.
- Contestants may enter as many records in as many styles as desired but each entry requires a separate mastered MP3 file and entry form. Entry fee is nonrefundable. Mark Clayton Songs is not responsible for late, lost or damaged, misdirected, misappropriated entries. Contest deadline is December 31st, 2025.
- This competition is open to all amateur and professional producers/musicians and anyone regardless of nationality or origin.
- Winners will be chosen by a Judging Committee comprised of music industry professionals. Records are judged equally on originality, creativity, style, instrumentation, arrangement, vocals, production techniques, quality of overall sound.
- To enter a record, the contestant must choose any song from the Mark Clayton Songs Catalog and produce an original recording of the song. Only songs from Mark Clayton Songs Catalog qualify to enter this contest. Original songs do not qualify for this contest.
- Winners will be determined after December 31st, 2025, the deadline for entry in the 2025 Mark Clayton Songs record contest. Each entrant will receive a winners list through e-mail by March 15th, 2026.
- Mark Clayton Songs reserve the right to extend the deadline of the competition if needed.
- Prizes: Overall Grand Prize winner will receive US $1,000 worth of cash and 50% of the gross streaming revenues from their record entered. Overall 2nd Prize winner will receive US $750 worth of cash and 50% of gross streaming revenues from their record entered. Overall 3rd Prize winner will receive US $500 worth of cash and 50% of gross streaming revenues from their record entered. Taxes are winners’ responsibility. All non-winning entries will receive 25% of streaming revenue from their record when/if distributed through Mark Clayton Songs.
- Mark Clayton Songs retains all rights with the song itself along with the publishing. The streaming revenues offered above only remain with the record released and not the original song itself. All copyrights and ownership of the song remain with Mark Clayton Songs.
- All records must be released through Mark Clayton Songs to qualify for payment of any revenues. No streaming revenues will be paid if any record is released under another record label.
